Humans don't think we've got a sense of humour. Well, when we make an error of judgement like falling in a sinkful of water, we most certainly don't like being laughed at! Talk about hell breaking loose! We're pretty good at looking indignant when that sort of thing happens. Best to nip off and hide; stroll back nonchalantly much later as though it never happened.
Our humour is more surreptitious. Humans don't know it but, we have a private snigger behind a raised paw when no-one is looking.
We have a little chuckle when we've brought a live mouse indoors and let it go under a cupboard, or had a wee behind the living room door. Heh heh!

Oh yes, I do enjoy the bringing the mouse indoors trick. Where we live the fields are full of them - especially around harvest time in September/October. It was at least one a day for a while back then, we had great fun. The best thing is when you finally fancy a nap after having brought them in and let them go for later playings, only to find upon waking up that they've disappeared into the pantry. Well, why bother searching through all those shelves to find one mouse when you know where to get lots more outside. Funny how the humans don't see it that way.
Herky says - Yep! Get one or two indoors for entertainment on those rainy days. Makes the humans very paranoid about their own food. Heh, heh!
